Water where the animals are

Totes on a flatbed or skid haul hundreds of gallons of water to pastures and pens without plumbing. A gravity valve fills troughs directly. For rotational grazing, a couple of totes turn any field into a watered paddock.

Liquid fertilizer

Bulk liquid fertilizer stores and dispenses cleanly from totes, and the translucent bottle makes level-checking easy. Match seals to the product — some fertilizers are aggressive — and dedicate tanks so you never cross-contaminate a mix.

Feed supplements

Molasses, liquid feed and mineral supplements are classic tote cargo. Because animals consume these, food-grade tanks with known histories are the right choice, and heated jackets keep thick molasses flowing in cold weather.

Irrigation buffering

Totes bridge the gap between water source and crop:

• Buffer well or rain capture for drip systems
• Pre-mix and hold fertigation solution
• Provide gravity pressure from an elevated stand
• Store spray solution near the field to cut trips
