Accessories & Parts — Fits standard 275 & 330 gal totes

A cracked valve or a missing cap is not a reason to retire a tank. Most totes we see scrapped only needed a twelve-dollar part. Our accessories line exists to keep good tanks in rotation for years longer — the single highest-leverage sustainability decision in the whole catalog.

We stock the fittings, valves, caps, adapters, heaters and structural parts that keep totes working and let you retrofit a plain tank into exactly the tool your job needs — a gravity-fed wash station, a drip-irrigation reservoir, a heated resin tank, or a winter-ready water store.

The cheapest tote is the one you already own

A cracked valve or missing cap is not a reason to retire a tank. Most totes we see scrapped only needed a $12 part. Our accessories line exists to keep good tanks in rotation for years longer.

Retrofit for your exact job

Turn a plain tote into a gravity-fed wash station, a drip-irrigation reservoir or a heated resin tank. Tell us the job and we will spec the adapters, valves and heaters to match.

Reuse-first promise: if a reconditioned tank can do your job safely, we'll recommend it over new — every time.
Fittings & lids

Every tote ships with a valve. Here's how to spec the right one.

Valve & fitting options

Outlet thread2 in S60x6 coarse buttress — the universal IBC standard
Butterfly valveStandard on most reconditioned tanks; 1/4-turn open/close
Ball valveHigher-cycle alternative; stainless or polypropylene body
Camlock (Type C/E)S60x6 → camlock for fast-connect filling and dispensing
Garden hoseS60x6 → 3/4 in GHT, male or female, for gravity dispensing
NPTS60x6 → 1 in or 2 in NPT for pump suction and fixed-pipe connections
Seal — EPDMFor water, food products and mild chemistry; food-grade default
Seal — VitonFor solvents, fuels and aggressive acids; specify at order

Lid & cap options

6 in vented capAllows gravity drain without vacuum lock — the go-to for open dispensing
6 in solid capFor pressurized, transported or sealed-fermentation applications
Tamper-evidentSecurity strip required for regulated or export cargo
Breather ventFor tall-neck or closed-loop setups where pressure equalization matters

Where it's used

Common use cases

Repairs & replacements

Swap a worn valve, cracked cap or tired seal to bring a tank back to full service for a few dollars.

Custom dispensing

Adapt the S60x6 outlet to camlock, garden hose or NPT so any tote connects to your pump or line.

Winterizing

Insulated jackets and band heaters keep water and viscous products flowing through the cold months.

Retrofits

Turn a plain tote into a wash station, irrigation reservoir or heated process tank with the right fittings.

Safety & UN markings

What the markings mean — and when you need them.

Reading a UN mark: UN 31HA1/Y/275L

31IBC container type per UN standards
HPlastic (HDPE) inner receptacle
ARigid outer body (steel cage)
1Free-standing (no outer packaging needed)
YPacking group II — medium-danger liquids
275LMaximum gross mass or capacity in liters

When is UN certification required?

  • Regulated hazardous liquids classified as DOT Packing Group I, II or III
  • International shipments where customs or the receiving country mandates UN marking
  • Carrier requirements for flammable, corrosive or toxic liquids in bulk
  • Any cargo where your SDS requires a UN-rated container
Not required for: food-grade and industrial totes used for non-regulated, non-hazmat liquids — which covers the vast majority of our customers.

Safety notes for Accessories & Parts

  • Always shut off flow and drain the valve before replacing seals or swapping adapters.
  • Match seal material to your liquid — wrong gaskets swell, leak and contaminate product.
  • Thermostatically control all band and wrap heaters; uncontrolled heat degrades HDPE and can scorch product.
  • Inspect cages and pallets annually for corrosion, bent tube and cracked welds before loading full tanks.
  • A $12 valve part beats a $200 replacement tank — repair before you replace.
Documentation

What ships with every unit — and what you can request.

Always included

  • Prior-contents log
  • Grade tag (Rinsed / Industrial / Food Grade / Rebottled / New)
  • Pressure-test pass record
  • Visual inspection pass
  • Valve and cap fitted and tested

Available on request

  • Wash-cycle certificate
  • COA for rebottled units
  • UN certification copy
  • Chain-of-custody form for food-safety audits
  • Bill of lading with grade and lot number

Just ask in your order email — no extra cost for documentation.

How we prepare it

Every unit, the same rigor

Identify the fitting

Tell us your outlet thread and the equipment you're connecting; we match the adapter and seal.

Match the seal

EPDM for water and food, Viton for aggressive chemicals — the gasket decides compatibility.

Add heat if needed

Wrap-around jackets and band heaters, thermostatically controlled, for viscous or freeze-prone liquids.

Structural swaps

Reclaimed cages and composite pallets to rebuild a tank whose structure has worn.

Buying tips

Get the right tank the first time

  • Keep a small kit on hand: a camlock set, a garden-hose adapter, spare EPDM and Viton seals, and a vented cap.
  • Use a vented cap for gravity draining and a solid cap for pumping or transport.
  • Match seal material to your chemical — the wrong gasket swells and leaks.
  • Insulate over any heater to cut energy use and hold temperature longer.
  • A single replacement valve often adds years to a tank — repair before you replace.
How it compares: Versus buying a new tank: a part costs a fraction of a container and keeps the existing steel and pallet in service. Repairing is almost always both cheaper and greener than replacing.
Care & handling

Six rules that keep a tote working — and people safe.

  1. Keep totes shaded and covered — UV degrades HDPE over time; white or opaque covers dramatically extend bottle life.
  2. Label every tank with the current product, date filled and grade — never rely on prior labels.
  3. Flush the outlet valve before connecting to your line to clear any residue from the valve body.
  4. Use a pallet jack or forklift for all moves — never tip or roll a full IBC tote.
  5. Store full totes upright and flat on a stable, level surface; tilting puts stress on the cage welds.
  6. Return empties to us — the cage and pallet stay in service and you close the loop.

The circular loop — in six words

Use it. Return it. Repeat it.

Every empty you send back to us is a cage and pallet that stays in service, a bottle that gets a new life, and a step that keeps material out of the landfill. The loop only closes if everyone closes it.

Accessories & Parts — FAQs

What outlet thread do most totes use?
An S60x6 coarse buttress thread, usually behind a 2-inch butterfly or ball valve. Adapters convert it to camlock, garden hose or NPT.
How do I choose between EPDM and Viton seals?
EPDM handles water, food products and many mild chemicals and is the food-grade default. Viton resists fuels, solvents and aggressive acids. Match the seal to your liquid.
Can I heat an IBC tote safely?
Yes, with thermostatically controlled wrap-around or band heaters sized for full coverage. Avoid concentrated hot spots that can scorch product or degrade the HDPE.
Do you sell replacement cages and pallets?
We stock reclaimed cages and composite pallets so a worn structural part never means scrapping an otherwise-good tank.
