Full-time · Peoria yard
Reconditioning Technician
Run the hot-water wash line, inspect and grade incoming tanks, and rebottle cages to spec. The engine room of the whole operation.
Responsibilities
- Operate triple-wash hot-water line at 180 °F with proper PPE
- Perform 14-point structural and visual inspection on every incoming tote
- Assign grade tags (food, industrial, rebottle, upcycle) per documented protocol
- Rebottle HDPE bottles into refurbished steel cages to manufacturer spec
- Pressure-test bottles post-wash and log results
- Maintain wash bay cleanliness and chemical inventory
Requirements
- Physical ability to move totes (up to 50 lb components) and work on concrete floors
- Comfort working around industrial cleaning chemicals with full PPE
- Attention to detail — a missed grade tag is a safety issue
- Prior experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or industrial cleaning is a plus but not required

Full-time · Midwest routes
Regional Driver (CDL-A)
Deliver full totes and backhaul empties on route-optimized loops across Illinois and the greater Midwest. Kill empty miles, not the environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive flat-bed and box routes across Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Iowa and Missouri
- Load and strap full totes at the Peoria yard; collect empties on return legs
- Communicate delivery ETAs and any access issues via email/text same-day
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain daily logs (ELD)
- Coordinate backhaul pickup windows with dispatch to maximize full-load efficiency
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A license with clean MVR (last 3 years)
- Comfortable driving 48-foot flat-bed and standard box trucks
- Forklift certification or willingness to certify within 30 days
- Ability to work Monday–Friday with occasional Saturday deliveries
- Home-base within commuting distance of Peoria, IL
Full-time · Peoria yard
Yard Technician & Forklift Operator
Keep inventory sorted, staged and moving. The person who knows exactly where every tote is at every moment — and can put it there with a forklift.
Responsibilities
- Operate sit-down and reach forklifts to stage incoming and outbound inventory
- Sort and rack inbound totes by grade, size and prior contents
- Pull orders for dispatch and verify count and grade against pick lists
- Maintain yard organization — labeled zones, clear traffic lanes, safe pallet storage
- Support wash-line and rebottle techs with material movement
- Assist with loading trucks and confirming freight counts at departure
Requirements
- Forklift certification (sit-down minimum; reach a plus) or willingness to certify
- Experience in a warehouse or yard environment preferred
- Strong spatial awareness — you'll be managing a dense, fast-moving inventory
- Ability to work outdoors in Central Illinois weather
- Physical stamina for a full active shift
Full-time · Hybrid (Peoria + remote)
Sales & Quote Coordinator
Answer inbound quote requests by email, match customers to the greenest viable option, and keep the pipeline humming. Our front door to the world.
Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound quote requests within one business day (our core promise)
- Assess customer needs and recommend the appropriate tote grade and quantity
- Coordinate with yard team on available inventory and realistic lead times
- Follow up on open quotes and shepherd orders through to delivery confirmation
- Build and maintain customer relationships for recurring accounts
- Log all quotes and orders in our CRM and flag patterns for the team
Requirements
- Clear, confident written communicator — this role is almost entirely email
- Ability to learn product nuances quickly (grades, sizes, prior-contents rules)
- Organized and deadline-driven — "reply within one business day" is non-negotiable
- Experience in B2B sales, logistics coordination or customer success preferred
- Comfortable working independently from a home setup with in-yard days as needed
Part-time · Remote / Peoria
Sustainability Analyst
Turn our operational data into a carbon story — lifecycle assessments, impact reporting, and the sustainability math that backs up everything we say.
Responsibilities
- Conduct simplified lifecycle assessments (LCA) on our tote grades vs. new-tank alternatives
- Track and report monthly metrics: totes reconditioned, landfill diverted, transport miles, CO₂ avoided
- Draft sustainability content for the website, customer certificates, and partner communications
- Research regulatory and certification opportunities (e.g., recycled content labeling, B Corp considerations)
- Develop internal benchmarks and flag areas where we can tighten the loop further
Requirements
- Background in environmental science, sustainability studies or a related field
- Comfortable with data in spreadsheets; experience with LCA tools a bonus
- Excellent writing skills — you'll translate numbers into plain English for customers
- Self-directed: this is a part-time role with room to grow
- Genuine interest in industrial circular economy, not just talking points
Part-time · Peoria workshop
Upcycle Maker & Fabricator
Turn retired tanks into rain harvesters, planters, aquaponics rigs and bespoke builds. Where the end of a tote's industrial life becomes the start of something new.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate rain-catchment and aquaponics systems from retired IBC bottles and cages
- Build planters, compost bins and garden structures to customer spec from tote components
- Develop repeatable build templates that can scale with demand
- Photograph finished projects and document build steps for online content
- Source hardware (fittings, valves, mesh) and maintain workshop inventory
Requirements
- Hands-on fabrication skills — welding, drilling, PVC/HDPE fitting a plus
- Comfort working with formerly-chemical containers (all units are rinsed before the workshop)
- Creative problem-solving: each upcycle build is at least a little bespoke
- Portfolio of maker/fabrication work preferred but not required
- Flexible schedule — this role scales up seasonally (spring garden demand)

A day in the yard
What a typical workday actually looks like.
No two days are identical — inventory is a living thing — but here\'s roughly how time flows at the Peoria facility.
7:00 AM
Yard opens. Morning walkthrough to check overnight receiving, confirm staging, review the day's outbound orders.
7:30 AM
Inbound sorting begins. Incoming empties from the previous day's backhaul get logged, tagged and routed — wash line, rebottling station, or upcycle queue.
8:00 AM
Wash line fires up. First run is always food-grade candidates — cleanest product, cleanest bay. Techs cycle through grading and tagging as washed units come off the line.
10:00 AM
Quote coordinator handles the morning email queue. New inquiries get reviewed and quoted; existing orders get shipping confirmations.
12:00 PM
Lunch. The break room is stocked. Thirty minutes minimum — we don't eat standing at the line.
1:00 PM
Afternoon dispatch prep. Outbound orders are pulled, checked against pick lists, and staged for tomorrow's trucks. Drivers confirm tomorrow's routes and backhaul pickups.
3:00 PM
Rebottling station handles any cage-swap jobs queued earlier. Upcycle workshop runs independently — projects tend to fill the full afternoon.
4:30 PM
End-of-day count. Inventory updated, wash logs filed, any safety concerns noted for morning review.
5:00 PM
Yard closes. See you tomorrow.

Video call or in-person at the yard, depending on the role. For yard and driver roles we'll usually want you on-site. For remote-eligible roles a video call works fine. We'll show you around and answer every question you have.

For hands-on roles, we'll invite you in for a paid half-day working alongside the team. It's the best way to know if the work suits you and the best way for us to see you in action. No hazing, no trick tests.

We'll send a clear written offer with role title, compensation, schedule, start date and any contingencies. We don't do handshake hires. You get time to review, ask questions, and decide without pressure.

Careers FAQ
Do I need experience in the IBC tote industry to apply?
No. We train on the tote-specific knowledge — prior contents, grading standards, wash protocols. What we can't train is work ethic, attention to detail, or care about doing things right. If you have those, we can teach the rest.
Is there room to grow here?
Yes, though we'll be honest: we're a small operation. "Growth" here looks like taking on more responsibility, leading a section of the yard, developing a new upcycle product line, or expanding into a regional sales role as we grow routes. It won't look like climbing a 12-tier corporate org chart.
I don't have a CDL. Can I still work here?
Most of our yard and shop roles don't require a CDL. The driver role does — but if you're close to getting yours, let us know and we can talk about timing.
Do you ever hire part-time or seasonal?
Yes. Our upcycle workshop has a spring/summer surge (garden season), and we occasionally bring in seasonal help for peak tote demand. The Sustainability Analyst role is currently part-time. Email us with what you're looking for and we'll tell you honestly if there's a fit.
What does compensation look like?
We benchmark against regional market rates and are upfront about ranges at the first reply. We don't believe in making you go through three interviews before learning the pay. If the range works for you, great. If not, no hard feelings.
Why email only? Isn't a phone call faster?
For hiring, an email gives us both a record of what was said, gives you time to compose a thoughtful intro, and gives us time to read it carefully. A 5-minute phone call surfaces much less than a well-written email. We'll move to a call or video once there's mutual interest.
What's the culture actually like?
Small team, direct communication, high ownership. Everyone knows what everyone else is working on. We don't have a lot of meetings — we use email and whiteboards. If something's wrong, someone says so and we fix it. It's a physical job in a real yard, and that keeps things grounded.
